Lower Sound Acceleration

Sometimes a game may have a conflict with your sound card or may be trying to make use of features that the card does not possess.  Lowering the sound acceleration on your computer can correct this and resolve any problems related to it.

1.  Click Start -> Run and type dxdiag then click OK.

2.  The DirectX Diagnostic tool appears.  Click the Sound tab along the top of the tool.

3.  In the middle of the page is a slider for Sound Acceleration.  Set this to 'Basic Acceleration'.

4.  Click Exit in the lower right and try the game again.
