Copy Protection
Crash
Use the below items to
help troubleshoot issues where you are crashing to the desktop after the
initial screen. This
usually occurs before the game goes into a full screen mode. This
type of crash is often related to copy protection or drive access issues.
Close Background Tasks
Run Disk Cleanup and Defrag
Check
CDROM Media
It is important to make sure there is nothing physically wrong with the
media. Make
sure there are no cracks in the disk. Even
a hairline crack can cause issues. Verify
that there are no scratches on the top or bottom of the disk. A
scratch on the top of the CDROM can be just as bad as a scratch on the
reflective bottom. To
check for scratches, hold the disc up to the light and view the media
from an angle. Make
sure there are no fingerprints on the disk. If there are fingerprints
clean the disc. Remember to always wipe from center outward with a soft
lint free cloth.
Use
a Different Drive
If you have more than one CDROM drive make sure you have tried running
the game from each of the different drives.

Try the CD On Another Machine.
It may be the case that the error message may have to do with the configuration
of the computer. It is a good idea to try the CD on another system before
sending it back to our warranty department. This will not only save the
cost of replacing a non-damaged disc, but will also save time.
