Windows Looks Different After Install

Often times after the game is installed, the Microsoft® DirectX DirectX is a application programming interface created by Microsoft. DirectX allows programmers to make a game that will work on any windows computer without having to know about the specific hardware that is in the computer. EA Games require that the correct version of DirectX be installed on the computer, usually the latest version available. DirectX requires that video and sound drivers that match the version being used are also installed on the computer. API will install itself to your computer.  There are a few instances where your video driver may be overwritten by an errant DirectX video driver.  Such symptoms of this happening are Windows XP starting in safe mode, an enlarged desktop, or colors that appear blurry.  If this is the case with your computer it may be necessary to install a new DirectX video driver.  These can usually be obtained from your manufacturer at no charge and the best place for obtaining these drivers is your manufacturer's web site.  You should check the documentation for more information pertaining to installing video drivers.

Try changing your screen resolution.
