If your game is locking up in the middle of gameplay follow the steps below one by one to see if they can resolve the issue.
Check the game's minimum requirements.

may have access to video and sound options through the main menu of your
game. Often
times these can be set to levels higher than your PC can handle. Try
reducing the video and sound quality and details levels to see if the
trouble improves.

lockups are related to sound card troubles.
