Repeating Sound LockupIf your game is locking up with a repeating sound the trouble is often caused by some conflict with the computer's sound card but can also be related to some other sources as well. Follow the steps below, one at a time, to help resolve the trouble.
Lower Sound Acceleration.
Try adjusting the game's options. Your game likely has an options menu where you can change audio settings. The detail settings in the game may need to be changed to match your computer better.
Ensure that your sound card's drivers are up to date. Sound drivers are available from your card manufacturer's web site. A list of manufacturers with links to their web sites can be found here. To find out what type of card you have you can refer to the EA Help analysis or open the DirectX diagnostic tool by selecting Start and Run then typing dxdiag dxdiag.exe, or DirectX Diagnostic is a tool that will allow you to get important information about your computer.. Ensure that you have the latest version of DirectX installed. Your game will have included the version of DirectX that it needs to run. You can also obtain the latest version of DirectX at http://www.microsoft.com/directx/.
Try reinstalling the game. Uninstall the game and reinstall it. It could be some trouble with the game files.
