Lower your Sound Acceleration

Make sure you have the latest video and sound drivers installed.

Try the CD on another computer.  If the CD works on a different computer then the issue has been narrowed to the one computer's configuration rather than a bad disc.  It is a good idea to try the CD on another system before sending it back.
